Players to watch out for, this season -

1. Ishan Kishan - An explosive wicket keeper batsman. Recently got capped for India and scored a 50 on his International debut itself. He has been a really consistent batsman in this format of the game and has done really well for MI over the years, and would look to have another amazing season ahead of the World Cup in October.

2. Suryakumar Yadav - He also recently got capped for India in the T20 format, and although didn't get to bat on his official debut, his first Intetnational knock with the bat was also a 50, and his first scoring runs in International cricket was a 6! He had two amazing games for India and is a really consistent middle order batsman for the Mumbai Indians as well. He puts a premium on his wicket and is a difficult batsman to dislodge.

3. Jasprit Bumrah - He hasn't played a single T20 game ever since the last edition of IPL, held in UAE, in 2020. He just got recently married and this will be his first T20 tournament/series in 2021. He was the 2nd highest wicket taker last season, and is the No.1 bowler in this format, and he has been MI's most crucial bowler, especially in the death overs.

4. Chris Lynn - He was benched throughout the last season, but in the absence of QDK in the first game, he will get a go in the very first game of the season itself, and could feature in more games after that. He is one of the most explosive top order batsman in the world and scored 5 50s in 13 innings in the Big Bash League 2020-21. He scored a total of 458 runs at a strike rate of 154.73, and would look to have a good season out here as well, whenever he gets a chance to feature in the XI.

5. Mohsin Khan - A young Indian talented Left Arm Seamer who took 5 wickets in 3 games in the recently concluded Syed Mushtaq Ali'2021 season and it's unlikely that he gets a chance to feature for the Mumbai Indians in this season, but if he does get a game or two to play, he could be a player to watch out for.

6. Rohit Sharma - The hitman. The skipper. The leading run scorer for Mumbai Indians over the years. 6 time champion in IPL, 5 of them with MI. A great opening batsman, a great T20 captain, and a complete performer. He is always a treat to watch out for.

7. Trent Boult - ICC ranked No.2 bowler in the world. The perfect support for Bumrah from the other end. He was the third highest wicket taker in the IPL 2020 edition and has been in great form for the Kiwis as well as in the Super Smash for the Northern Knights. He has been a consistent wicket taking bowler and also has proven to grow as an amazing fielder too.

8. Hardik Pandya - The perfect finisher for the team. Didn't bowl the last season but was as explosive as always with the bat. He has finally started to bowl after a long time in the T20s and is likely to be used as a bowler in this season of IPL too. So, he would be playing like a true all rounder, the way he used to play earlier, and everyone knows the exceptional quality of a fielder that he is. The perfect all rounder and a great finisher who could turn games around single-handedly. He'd be a player to watch out for this season.

9. Kieron Pollard - The vice captain of the team and the skipper of the Windies. He recently joined the club of players to have scored 6 6s in an over after doing so against Akila Dhananjaya. He is also one player who could take the game away from the oppositions single-handedly and with the Batting unit that the team has, he can play his natural game of fearless cricket and be a match winner on his own.
