*Mumbai Team Info*
Arjun Tendulkar makes his way to debut in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and would want to get going right before the IPL 2021 auctions come into play. He could be a good left arm seam option and provide more variations to the team having some great quality all rounders in Shams Mulani, Shivam Dubey and Shubham Ranjane.
With a quality top order in the batting unit, this team has the ability to proceed to the knockout stages yet again this season.
Yashasvi Jaiswal unfortunately didn't have a very good season along with the Rajasthan Royals and their skipper Suryakumar Yadav was unfortunately left out from all formats for India's tour against the Aussies even after being drafted into the South African tour squad pre-covid. Both these players would look to make a mark out here and they are players to watch out for!
Shivam Dubey impressed with the ball in IPL but wasn't used properly. He is an excellent hitter of the ball as well and showed his worth as an all rounder in this very tournament since the last two years, and would love to have another great season.
Tushar Deshpande and Dhawal Kulkarni are likely to lead the pace bowling department along with Arjun Tendulkar, Shubham Ranjane and Shivam Dubey in the mix. Shams Mulani will be the lone spinner in the side unless Yashasvi Jaiswal or Siddesh Lad are tossed the ball, which is not very likely to happen on these Wankhede pace friendly wickets.
*Delhi Team Info*
Shikhar Dhawan was the second highest run-getter in the IPL 2020 season and is the most experienced batsman in this unit out here. He would not just be leading the batting pack, but also is the skipper of this side.
Hiten Dalal, Manjot Kalra and the wicket keeper Anuj Rawat are expected to comprise their batting unit's top order. Three youngsters, but talented ones in this format of the game and none of them fail to impress. They do well and would want to make a mark and try to get their names drafted this time into IPL 2021 somehow.
After Shikhar Dhawan at the top, their experience would lie on the mighty hitter Nitish Rana. He had an obstacle course throughout the IPL season for the Kolkata Knight Riders, but played really well and had some good knocks to his name too. He would look to continue his good form out here and live up to his experience.
Ayush Badoni, Lalit Yadav and Kshitij Sharma would comprise their all rounders' section in the XI. All of them are good talented players. With Lalit Yadav being benched the entire IPL season, he would want to have a good domestic season out here to avoid getting released from the Delhi Capitals' squad or missing out on the IPL 2021 edition altogether. He is a good hitter of the ball as well as a good spinner and can be a good pick nonetheless.
Ishant Sharma would be leading their pace attack alongside the experience of Pradeep Sangwan. They might have to opt for an extra seamer in the form of a debutant or a new comer on these pace friendly wickets as all their other bowling options are spinners with the likes of Pawan Negi, Kshitij Sharma, Nitish Rana as well as Lalit Yadav.
