*RR VS RCB REVIEW- MATCH 60*
*RCB THRASH RR AS NRR TAKES MASSIVE HIT:*
They say Cricket is a game of fine margins but today none of the cricket viewers will agree to this. The home crowd was shocked, the players in the dugout were shocked as RR were bowled out for a mere 59, handing RCB a massive 112 run win. Their innings started off with Yashasvi, the new star of the IPL, hitting a powerful shot that ended up landing in the safe hands of Virat Kohli and Siraj as usual was all pumped up. What followed this was Buttler recording the same score and Samson throwing his wicket away as Parnell kept chipping in with wickets. The RR top order recorded just 4 runs collectively and it was a poor show from their top 3 that have been in good form. When spin came, Bracewell struck immediately as Padikkal ended up handing a dolly to Siraj. When Hetmyer came to the crease, RR had hope as the Root-Hetmyer duo had the responsibility of reserructing the innings but Root fell soon after giving Parnell another scalp. Just as things went by, Jurel fell to the spin of Bracewell but a 3 sixes over from the Caribbean lifted RR’s total to over 49, fixing any nearly-broken hearts if there were any. But it did not take long before RR were skittled over as RCB completed a mammoth win, conquering these away conditions in Jaipur. Their NRR is in positives now and they will hope for an even stronger performance in the next two remaining games.
*ALL IS WELL WHEN RCB HAVE GLENN MAXWELL:*
After Kohli failing to connect anything other than his first over boundary, he fell to KM Asif but as soon as Maxwell walked out, he rejenuvated new hope and energy into the innings. He counter attacked while Faf stayed at the other end, anchoring and not letting go of the singles and doubles. RCB were making great use of the bigger boundaries here at Jaipur as they kept picking up crucial runs. But when both Faf and Maxwell departed at the death with a lot left to be done, it was the Anuj Rawat cameo that lifted the Challengers as he smashed 6,6 and 4 to finish the innings on a high. The RR spinners throughout the innings, bowled with great variations and mixed their lengths quite nicely, keeping the RCB batting order quiet. But a strong finish allowed RCB to ensure a 100 run win and keep solidifying their position in the tournament.
