*DC VS RCB MATCH 50 REVIEW*

*GAME SET MATCH WITHIN 17:*

Delhi were flawless in their chase of 182 runs. They battled all odds and the tone was rightly set within the first five overs of the chase courtesy some attacking batting from the English-Aussie duo upfront. Taking Siraj on and dragging his length back is what blew RCB away right from the word go. They were put under pressure with their premier bowler being torn apart by Salt. It was only in the sixth over when some relief was provided but the onslaught did not stop with allrounder Mitch Marsh continuing the momentum and promoting some more carnage. The Challengers were never quite there in the second innings, with their bowling being treated with disdain. Salt eventually departed for a classy and powerful knock of 87 runs in the 16th over but by this point, DC had already ensured another two points up their kitty. Now with 4 wins in their last five games, we are witnessing a late surge from the Capitals who were very quite in the first half of their campaign. Today being a powerful statement, in their den, against a strong RCB bowling lineup is something that would boost their confidence heading forward.

*VIRAT AND FAF AMONG THE RUNS AGAIN BUT WAS IT ENOUGH?:*

Virat Kohli went past another fifty run with Faf falling a little short. However, the two provided a strong platform for a strong finish. With RCB being at 79/0 after 10 overs, it was the ideal time for their power hitters to come in and take the game forward however their overseas allrounder in Maxwell disappointed with a one ball duck. RCB were in a bit of pressure and that’s when Lomror walked out and changed the momentum completely. He tilted it in the Challengers favour while a consistent Virat was slowly trying to up the ante on the other end. It was indeed Lomror’s attacking fifty that allowed Kohli to play the way he was playing. Though he was dismissed for 55, he consumed way too many balls to reach this milestone- hampering RCB’s chances of a 200 plus score. With Virat back in the hut having failed to accelerate, the likes of Lomror who was batting with some intent today coupled with DK and Rawat took RCB’s score post 180, giving their bowlers a chance. But at the end, it proved to be a small total with Salt making the mockery of the chase.
