*RR VS GT REVIEW*

*GT MILES AHEAD:*

GT have now conquered three of their opponents while being on the road, solidifying their position at the top and strengthening their case as a playoff contender. They would be pretty disappointed if they fall out of the top 2 after churning out classy wins like these. They completely bamboozled them with the bowl first to follow it up with an almost flawless batting performance finished by Hardik Pandya. Their opening pair raced away to 49 within 6, settling any itchy nerves if there were. Later on, while Shubman slowed down at the back end and eventually fell to Chahal for a 35 ball 36, Hardik Pandya came in to dismantle RR, playing at a boggling strike rate of 260. His innings comprised of 3 sixes and 3 fours, and if these are indications of something better to come in the future, then Hardik’s attacking knock in a small run chase was even more significant for other reasons. His smashing of Zampa took us all back to the old days where Hardik used to pump the spinners for fun. GT completed the proceedings within 14 overs, boosting their already positive net runrate and oozing class all the way long.

*BLOCKBUSTER ENTERTAINMENT IN TANDEM FEAT AFGHANI BOYS:*

Noor Ahmed and Rashid Khan operating in tandem are a real treat to watch. They delivered a supreme performance on a track which was a decent one for batting as the skipper of the opposition, Sanju showed. With their wizardry and their bag of tricks, they were able to stamp their authority over RR as GT went onto claim their fourth win against this opposition. Things however began with Hardik outplaying the dangerous Buttler, forcing him to walk back to the pavilion. Come the 6th over, Rashid turned on the heat and got the better of Jaiswal. From there on, it was truly a one way traffic with GT tying a knot around RR, unenabling them to break free and score freely. Joshua and Shami similar to Hardik grabbed a wicket apiece as the Afghani spin pair, ruled the roost to restrict RR to just 118.
