*PBKS VS MI REVIEW:*
*MI HAVE DEVELOPED A HABIT OF DIGGING A HOLE FOR THEMSELVES:*
Their bowling is abysmal, arguably the worst this season. They have been responsible for leaking 200 runs on four occasions now and while their batters are clicking, it’s still an incredibly worrying sight. Punjab was on 50/1 after the powerplay today, still a decent score from an MI fan’s point of view however it was the period after the powerplay that damaged everything that they had built in the first six. 164 runs were scored at a staggering runrate off the last 15, and the MI bowling could not look out for any cushion to reduce the damage. While Dhawan looked good for his 20 ball 30, he departed and Short with his flawfull batting vs spin, made life tough for PBKS. Then came a storm that blew Mumbai away, the duo of Jitesh and Livingstone amassed over 130 runs at a runrate of over 13 per over, unleashing havoc and taking the balls to all parts of the ground. They were batting flawlessly and MI’s mishap bowling was exposed again in this tournament.
*KISHAN-SKY-TILAK COMPLETE THE PROCEEDINGS RATHER CONVINCINGLY:*
These three Indians, bossed the game tonight with their batting prowess. Barring Rishi Dhawan and Nathan Ellis 4/6 bowlers were torn apart, being taken for over 10 runs an over. It started with a duck for the captain( extremely upsetting) but the middle order of the five time champions did not let the pressure get to their franchise. Green and Kishan attacked but the former was struggling for timing and placement, ultimately leading to his failure. Out came Surya and he did what he does best! Engaged himself in another blinder of a knock and the two retained stars of MI proved their worth by reducing the deficit with attractive strokeplay coupled with some smart batting. By the time Surya was dismissed, MI needed under 10 an over. He knew that he had completed his part, now it was only time to finish the ritual started. Despite Kishan falling in the very next over, the calm headed partnership of Tilak-David sealed the deal for Rohit and co, walking past the target of 215 with 7 crucial balls to spare. With 10 points in the table now, things look much more settled for MI. All they have to worry about now is their horrendous performances with the ball in hand.
