*RCB VS RR PREVIEW*

*THE BUILD UP:*

*ROYALS COLLIDE AT THE HIGH SCORING CHINNAWASMY:*

T20 clashes this Royal don’t come by, this often. And when you’re competing at the Chinnaswamy, with the risk of seeing every other ball get deposited into the stands, the royalty increases. Last year, these two teams competed thrice against one another. While RCB won the first game, RR clearly outplayed them in the final two, including the all important clash in Qualifier 2.

*THE DAY GAME ADVANTAGE:*

While RCB haven’t been able to conquer CSK and LSG at home, they have picked up a knack of doing well in the day games. In the two day games they have played in so far( one at home and one away) RCB have found success while batting first and then comprehensively defeating the opposition while defending. Virat Faf and Siraj, in particular have been integral to this success, stepping up each time.

*RCB PROBABLE XI:*

Virat Kohli(c), Mahipal Lomror, Glenn Maxwell, Shahbaz Ahmed, Dinesh Karthik(wk), Suyash Prabhudesai, Wanindu Hasaranga, Harshal Patel, Wayne Parnell, Mohammad Siraj, Vyshak Vijaykumar

Keeping Harshal’s poor returns at this venue this season in mind, this could well be a make or break game for the veteran. Failing today may dent his chances to feature in any home games this season.

There is no complete confirmation on Hazlewood’s availability today. If he features, he is likely to replace Wayne Parnell in the XI.

Hasaranga vs Samson, as tasty as it gets. The Srilankan has the clear edge over him and the latter would be looking forward to reversing his fortunes

*IMPACT PLAYER STRATEGY:*

Faf batted for RCB as an impact sub last game and he is expected to do the same today as well. Given his impeccable form off late at the top, he could be real bonus even if he is on the field only for half the time. He will replace Vyshak Vijaykumar.

*RR PROBABLE XI:*

Jos Buttler, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sanju Samson(c)(wk), Devdutt Padikkal, Riyan Parag, Shimron Hetmyer, Dhruv Jagel, Jason Holdar, Ravi Ashwin, Trent Boult, Yuzi Chahal

Eagerly waiting for the matchup between Jos and Siraj. One has been in supreme touch with the bat whereas the Indian pacer has been a trump for RCB in the power play overs, guaranteeing one or two wickets each game.
Siraj’s ability to hit the pads and trap batters should come in handy against someone who struggles against the in swing deliveries.

*IMPACT PLAYER STRATEGY:*

Sandeep Sharma, the unsung star from the CSK game has been in impressive form off late. He should come in as the impact sub in place of Devdutt Padikkal. His battle vs Kohli will be one to watch out for as the latter has seen the better of the former RCB skipper over the years.

*MY PREDICTION FOR THE GAME:*

*FOR RCB:*
Highest run getter- Faf Duplisses/Glenn Maxwell

Highest wicket taker- Wanindu Hasaranga/Mohammad Siraj

*FOR RR:*
Highest run getter- Sanju Samson/Shimron Hetmyer

Highest wicket taker- Trent Boult/Yuzi Chahal

*FOR THE GAME:*
RCB to win if they bat first
