*HYPED UP AND DELIVERED:*
The two finalists made sure that their fans had no nails to chew. They clashed in an unthinkable encounter delivering one of the finest chases and games of this season. Surely, no game is over until it is actually over. Hetmyer and Samson were incredible, pulling off a win out of nowhere was breathtaking as a fan of T20 cricket.
*THIS FORCE IS ONLY GETTING STRONGER:*
Shimron Hetmyer, the undisputed champion finisher of RR has truly turned the heat. He has been a force to reckon this, ever since last season and with finishes like these, is only building on. On the other hand, Samson performing gives me great joy. Would have loved to see him help RR cross the line but it was not to be, regardless after registering two ducks on the trot, his performance was due and fortunately he was not among those who disappointed.
*GT POWERED TO 177 COURTESY SOME CRAZY MIDDLE ORDER PERFORMANCES:*
45,20,28,46 and 27: These were some of the scores from No 2,3,4,5,6 of GT today. Quite literally the complete performance from their top and middle order. What impressed me the most about their batting today was when Abhinav Manohar casually smacked the legend, Boult for two mind blowing sixes on a ground with bigger boundary dimensions. It had class written over them all along. Despite reading 177, it did not prove to enough because a crazy finish from Hettie, the comeback job from Sanju and the 10 off 3 from Ashwin Anna sealed the deal for RR.
