*PBKS VS GT- REVIEW*
*FLOPSHOW WITH THE BAT:*
For the second time in a row, the Kings failed to turn up as a batting unit crumbling to the quality bowling of GT, inspired by a stunning comeback from Mohit Sharma.
Last time, it was a single handed show from their skipper Dhawan, but this time he couldn’t entertain, resulting in a mishap from the PBKS batters who were clearly 20 runs short on this beautiful Mohali wicket.
*BRIGHT SPOTS:*
Short and Shahrukh Khan, two men who were not in the limelight for long, were the only bright spots in an otherwise dull performance from their batters, making 36(24) and 22(9) respectively.
*THE MIGHTY GT AND THEIR CHASING POWER TO THE RESCUE:*
Jokes on you if you believed that Gujarat would choke in this tensed finish because their outfit, with the availability of so many cool heads just keeps delivering regardless of the scenario and challenge at hand. Tewatia smoothly ramping it over short third man to bring the victory probably justifies how dominant they have been while chasing totals.
*PUNJABI HOMEBOY COMPETES AGAINST HOME TEAM:*
Another one of those days where the sweet spot of Gill’s bat clicked and left us in awe of his talent. The local boy decided to give PBKS a scare, making them stare at a back to back defeat now. Once again, the Punjabi oozed class but he would be disappointed at the prospect of not being able to finish this chase which became a little complexed after he was castled.
*THE APPROACH THAT COULD HAVE BACKFIRED*
Miller striking at nearly a 100 and Gill not being able to up the ante at the back end, should have certainly given GT a scare of losing this game. I believe that took this a little too deep, and put themselves into a position where the game could’ve gone either ways. But the calm headed brain of Tewatia finally ended this contest with a ball to spare, handing GT their third win in 4 wins, joining the other teams at the Everest.
