*CSK vs RR POST MATCH REVIEW:*

*THE NERVE WRACKING CHASE-*

Another IPL game, another tensed chase but this time the Sanju led unit, successful defended a modest total of 175.

CSK started their journey banking on Ruturaj, who has been in the touch of his life but it was one of those rare days where he failed to build on, gifting his priced wicket to the experienced Sandeep. But the show didn’t stop as the duo of Conway and Rahane kept the required run rate in check ticking off small boxes every now and then. Once this brewing partnership was broken, CSK broke down and it felt as if RR dismantled their backbone as the next few batters ended up with scores of 8,7 and 1.

It was the mastery of Ashwin, the homeboy and the bag of tricks from the ever so clever Yuzi Chahal that kept RR in the game, helping them achieve key breakthroughs. They collected 4 wickets in total, utilising the conditions on offer and pegged the CSK lineup back.

However, the real twist to the game came when Jadeja and Dhoni partnered one another out in the middle, with the aim of finishing the job comprehensively. As the scorecard suggests, they started the panic among the Rajasthanis, slowly marching towards the target with the crowd witnessing their hero MS DHONI rack up some monstrous blows.

What sealed RR’s fate was the calmness that Sandeep showed in the last over. Despite being dispatched for 2 sixes in a row, he stuck to his strength and kept accessing the Yorker spot, sealing the game and giving Rajasthan their third win and 6 points on board.

*RR HUFF AND PUFF TO GET TO 175-*

Similar to his friend Ruturaj, Yashasvi couldn’t get going as well but Jos did what he normally does- showcasing his muscles and his calculative batting, registering another 50. To partner him was the talented Bangalorean Padikkal, who moved along nicely to get to a solid 38 off 26.

Once this stand broke, Sanju followed suit and walked back with a partly 2-ball stay. Ashwin started slowly but finished strong but the real impetus to this stop start innings from RR was given by Hetmyer who carried on his stunning form from last season to contribute another 30 off a meagre 18 ball stay, powering RR to a decent total of 175.
