India's Asia Cup journey may have ended in an unexpected manner and a lot of eyes were on what unfolds next when India picks their squad for the T20 World Cup.
All those questions were put to rest when India announced their final squad for the T20 World Cup. The World Cup squad was an expected one , however there remains a few questions that remain unanswered.

1.Does the batting order looks uni-dimensional?
The Indian Batting Order looks a destructive one with the likes of Rohit, Virat, Surya in the top order. However there is a void created with the absence of a left handed batsman in that lineup. Although India has Rishabh Pant in the squad but his form looks no where promising. Also the injury to Ravindra Jadeja mean that India do not have a floater in the middle overs to rotate the strike. So oppositions would look forward to exploit this.
2.Why is Mohammad Shami not in the Final Squad?
India's bowling attack lacked experience and skill with the absence of Jasprit Bumrah in the Asia Cup. Experts believed that the only person who could have balanced out this lacuna was Mohammad Shami. Shami looked in good form in the IPL but wasn't considered for the T20s. However Shami will be travelling as reserves to Australia as his pace and length will be helpful in those conditions.
3.Can India fill in Ravindra Jadeja's void?
Ravindra Jadeja has been one of the most valuable asset for India in the recent times. He adds a three dimensional aspect to the game and can single handedly change the complexion of a game. However his absence due to a knee injury has significantly weakened the balance of the Indian Side. Although there is Axar Patel who offers similar attributes as Jadeja but it will tough for him to fill in Jadeja's shoes. Now it will be interesting to see how India manages to balance out Jadeja's absence in the squad.
4.Why wasn't Sanju Samson picked in the final squad?
One of the unfortunate player to be missing out from India's squad is Sanju Samson. Samson may not have stood out on the chances given to him but that doesn't take out the fact that he is one of the cleanest hitters of the cricket ball. Also the captain's have time and again emphasized on utilizing Samson's stroke making abilities in the bigger grounds in Australia. Samson could also have played as the 3rd opener if required.

India have opted for Rohit Sharma and Kl Rahul as first choice openers for the T20 World Cup. However the questions that arise who will fill in as the 3rd opener slot if required. Experts believe that Rishabh Pant could be brought in to keep a left -right combination going whereas others have a soft corner for Virat Kohli after he scored his maiden T20 century from the opening slot. However none are permanent solutions of this permanent problem that persists in the T20 Squad.
