Everything to Play for in the Finals.

Cricket is a funny game indeed where we can see fortunes change in a matter of a week. Last week, South Africa was in route to win their first T20 series in India but now find themselves at the receiving end of losing the T20 series against India.

South Africa looked the side to beat in the first two T20s where the Indian bowling had no answers to the questions asked by the South African batsmen but by the time the 4th T20 ended, the Indian bowling had already scalped 20 wickets in the next two matches.

And to make things worse South African skipper Temva Bavuma is in doubt to play the Finals after sustaining a hand injury in Rajkot. So South Africa find themselves in all sorts of trouble with the series on the line before they take the field on Sunday.

Chinnaswamy has been known as a batting paradise owing to its shorter boundaries and it is bound to lighten the eyes of David Miller and co. On the other hand, India under Rishabh Pant will hope that they manage to win atleast 1 toss in the series as defending totals can be a bit tricky in Chinnaswamy Stadium.

With the series on the line and both teams tied at 2-2, the decider looks highly entertaining.

What to expect:

The weather at Chinnaswamy doesn't look promising enough with the forecast of rainfall on Sunday.

Pitch Report:

Traditionally Chinnaswamy has been known for those high scoring games and the pitch at Sunday doesn't look different
either.

Ground Record:

India have played 5 matches at Bengaluru winning only 2 whereas South Africa has won the only game they have played over here.

Stats:

Dinesh Karthik is the highest run getter at this venue out of the 2 squads whereas Yuzvendra Chahal is the highest wicket taker at this venue. For South Africa Quinton de Kock has had a century at this venue.

Team news:

India is likely to field the same Xi on Sunday.
South Africa is fretting on the fitness of Bavuma and if Bavuma fails to recover in time, Reeza Hendricks will fill in with Maharaj taking up the captaincy. Also the duo of Kagiso Rabada and Wayne Parnell are likely available for the Finals.

Probable Teams:

India: Ruturaj Gaikwad, Ishan Kishan, Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant (C) (Wk), Hardik Pandya, Dinesh Karthik, Axar Patel, Bhubaneswar Kumar, Harshal Patel, Avesh Khan, Yuzvendra Chahal.

South Africa: Reeza Hendricks, Quinton de Kock (Wk), Dwayne Pretorius, Rassie Van Dussen, Henrich Klassen, David Miller, Wayne Parnell, Kagiso Rabada, Keshav Maharaj(C), Lungi Ngidi, Anrich Nortje.

Players to watch out for:

Yuzvendra Chahal: Highest Wicket taker at this venue, and can be dangerous if the pitch offers a bit of turn.

Quinton de Kock: Looked solid before getting run out in last match, can score heavily if he gets set.

Shreyas Iyer: Due for a big knock, especially in run chases. Can be a wild card for this match.

Harshal Patel: Plays most of his matches here, a vital asset in death bowling.
