India vs South Africa T20 Series 2022:

Post Match Review of 3rd T20:

2-0 down with the T20 series on the line, the Indian T20 Team was under tremendous pressure at VDCA Cricket Stadium, Vishakapatnam.

Blistering Start:

Losing the toss and put into bat, the openers Ruturaj Gaikwad and Ishan Kishan gave the team a flying start. The duo stitched a 97 runs opening partnership within 10 overs with Gaikwad perishing for 57 soon after.

Middle Order Struggle:

The middle order struggle persisted for Team India as wickets fell at regular intervals. The run-rate halted after Ishan Kishan's dismissal at 54. The team score read 131/3 after 13.4 overs.

Pandya's late order blist:

The South African bowlers restricted India to 179/5 courtesy Hardik Pandya's unbeaten 31of 21. Pretorius was the pick of the Protean bowlers with 2 for 29.

Faltering from the Start:

In reply, South Africa didn't get the run chase going with wickets falling regularly upfront. The Indian bowlers got support from the wickets as South Africa was reduced for 71/5 after 11 overs down and out.

Chahal's weaves his magic:

Yuzvendra Chahal who was the pick of the bowlers put the final nails in the South African coffin when he dismissed the last match hero Henrich Klassen for 29, who was also the top scorer. He finished of with figures of 3 for 20.

Polishing off the Tail:

Harshal Patel swiped the tail off as South Africa was bundled out for 131 in 20 overs. Harshal Patel ended up with figures of 4 for 25.

With this victory, India managed to win the first match of the series as well as first match against South Africa in 2022.

With 2 matches to go and the series on the line, India will take on South Africa at Rajkot for the 4th T20 on Friday.
