In Cricket, there is no greater feeling for a batsman than raising his bat after reaching the milestone of 100 Runs also known as a Century. Infact. the greatness of a particular batsman is determined by the number of centuries he has scored in his International Cricket. Today, we will be discussing about the batsmen who has scored the Most Centuries in International Cricket across all formats.

So here we go:

1. Sachin Tendulkar (IND): 100 Centuries.

The list of the most number of centuries in International Cricket belongs to one and only Sachin Tendulkar. The Master Blaster who represented India for 24 years sits comfortably at the top with 100 centuries from 664 matches. Tendulkar was the greatest batsmen of the 90s and early 2000s and played only ODIs and Tests and ended up being the highest run scorer across all formats with 34357 runs. However had it not been due to injuries, Tendulkar might have added up a few more 100s in his tally.

2. Ricky Ponting (AUS): 71 Centuries.

Australia's most successful Captain Ricky Ponting is second in the list with 71 centuries to his name. 3. Virat Kohli (IND): 70 Centuries.

India's star batsman Virat Kohli finds himself at the 3rd position in the list of most centuries scored with 70 centuries and is currently the only active batsman in the list. Kohli who has featured in 458 matches in his 14 years career represents India in all 3 formats and has scored 23650 runs till now. However, a century drought for over two and a half years has kept Kohli still stranded at 70 Centuries. Given Virat's class and tenacity, he is bound to eclipse Ricky Ponting's tally of 71 centuries but it will be interesting to see if he can trump the Master Blaster or not.

4. Kumar Sangakkara (SL): 63 Centuries.

Kumar Sangakkara has been one of the modern day greats for the Srilankan team over 2 decades. The stylish left handed batsman who also happens to be the second highest run getter in International Cricket with 28016 runs has played 594 matches and has hit 63 centuries. He also finished as the highest run getter for a wicket keeper batsman.

5. Jacques Kallis (RSA): 62 Centuries.

ODIs: 17.

Tests: 45.

T20Is: 0.

The Greatest All-rounder of all times Jacques Kallis too features in the list of players who has hit the most number of centuries in International Cricket. Kallis who has scored over 25000 runs in International cricket (25534 runs) has represented South Africa for 19 years. He has played 519 matches and has hit 62 centuries in his career. He also tops the run chart amongst the all-rounders.
