1. Virat Kohli: 6499 runs*.
It is hard to find a batting record list in India without the name of Virat Kohli featuring in it. King Kohli leads the chart with 6499 runs in IPL. Virat has been featuring in IPL since its inception~ 2008 and has turned up for a single franchise (Royal Challengers Bangalore) in every single season. Virat has played 219 matches in IPL and holds the record of scoring the maximum runs in a single IPL season ie 973 runs (2016). He also has 5 IPL centuries to his name along with 43 half-centuries. With age in his side it will be tough to topple Virat Kohli from the top anytime soon.
2. Shikhar Dhawan: 6165 runs*.
The Gabbar of Indian cricket finds himself at the 2nd position in IPL's all time run scorers list. Shikhar Dhawan too has featured in the IPL since 2008 and has played 203 matches in IPL. He is only the second batsman to breach the 6000 runs mark in IPL. Shikhar Dhawan who also holds the record of scoring the most boundaries in IPL (694) also has 2 centuries and 47 half-centuries to his name.
3. David Warner: 5824 runs*.
David Warner is undoubtedly one of the most prolific overseas batsman in IPL history and is third in our list. The southpaw has been featuring in IPL since 2009, and has played 159 matches in IPL. Warner averages 42.20 in IPL and is currently the only batsman in the top 10 run-getters in IPL to have an average of more than 40 in IPL. Warner also holds the record of scoring the most fifties in IPL (54*). He also has 4 IPL centuries to his name.
4. Rohit Sharma: 5811 runs*.
The Hitman is known as the most successful captain in IPL history having won the IPL title a record 5 times. Rohit Sharma who too has been playing in the IPL since 2008 finds his name among the top 5 run-getters in IPL history. Rohit Sharma has played 224 matches and is currently 4th in the list. He holds the record of hitting the maximum number of sixes in IPL history amongst the Indians (236*) and is third in the all time six hitting list. Rohit has also scored 40 IPL half-centuries and 1 IPL century.
5. Suresh Raina: 5528 runs.
Suresh Raina also known as Mr.IPL is the fifth in our list. Raina who has been playing in the IPL since 2008 finds his name missing from the 2022 IPL edition. But that has not stopped him from featuring in our list of the highest run-getters. Raina has played in 205 IPL matches and has scored 39 half-centuries. He also has 1 IPL century to his name.
