1. David Warner: (54 Half Centuries)*.
The list of scoring the most half centuries in the IPL is held by the legendary David Warner. Warner has been playing the IPL since 2009 and has featured in 151 IPL matches. The talisman opening batsman has scored 5453 runs in IPL and is currently the highest run getter among overseas batsman in IPL. He also has the highest number of fifties in IPL (54) along with 4 IPL Hundreds.
2. Virat Kohli: (47 Half Centuries)*.
Virat Kohli is the second entrant in our list. Virat, who is currently the highest run-getter in IPL with 6341 runs, has 47 fifties to his name. He also has the second highest number of centuries (5) in IPL. Virat has played 210 matches in IPL in his 15 year IPL career for a single franchise- Royal Challengers Bangalore and with age in his side he can very well top the list in future.
3. Shikhar Dhawan: (46 Half Centuries)*.
Chasing Virat Kohli’s tally of 47 half-centuries is none other than the Gabbar of Indian Cricket- Shikhar Dhawan. Shikhar Dhawan has 46 IPL fifties to his name from 195 innings. Dhawan who has played for 6 IPL franchises till date is also the second highest run getter in IPL. He also has the record of scoring the most number of 4s in IPL (668*).
4. Ab de Villiers: (43 Half Centuries).
It is impossible to find any list in IPL without the name of Ab de Villiers in it and rightly so. ABD finds his name in the fourth position of scoring the maximum number of fifties in IPL. Ab de Villiers played in 14 IPL seasons since 2008 and has 43 half-centuries to his name. He is also the second overseas batsman in terms of the number of fifties scored. Ab de Villiers achieved this feat in 170 IPL innings.
5. Rohit Sharma: (41 Half Centuries)*.
Rohit Sharma is the final entrant in our list with 41 fifties to his name. Rohit who won the IPL a record 6 times (5 times as captain of the Mumbai Indians) has played 15 seasons in IPL and has played 216 innings. He is also the 3rd highest run getter in IPL with 5665 runs and one IPL season can guarantee his elevation to the top.
