1. Dwayne Bravo: The Champion from West Indies, Dwayne Bravo is the first in our list. Bravo has been playing in the IPL since 2008 and is currently the only overseas player to achieve this feat. Bravo has played 153 matches and has taken 171* wickets in the IPL so far. He achieved this feat by pipping of Srilankan great Lasith Malinga. He also holds the record of taking the maximum number of wickets (32) in an IPL season (2013) and has won the purple cap for a record two times (2013, 2015). He is currently playing for the Chennai Super Kings and is still going strong.

2. Lasith Malinga: Malinga's name is synonymous with IPL and vice versa. The Srilankan Great currently is the highest wicket taker in IPL with 170 wickets from 122 matches. Malinga first appeared in IPL in the year 2009 and played 11 seasons for the Mumbai Indians. He played his last season in 2019 where his last over heroics won Mumbai Indians the IPL Title for the record 5th time against arch rivals Chennai Super Kings. Post retirement, Malinga is currently working as the bowling coach for the Rajasthan Royals.
3. Amit Mishra: The record of scalping the maximum wickets in IPL by an Indian spinner is being held by Amit Mishra. Mishraji as he is popularly known as played in 14 IPL seasons (2008-2021) and has scalped 166 wickets in 154 matches. Amit Mishra also holds a remarkable feat of being the first and only bowler to inflict 3 hat tricks in his IPL career. Amit Mishra (39), found no takers in IPL 2022 and went unsold in Mega auction and in all probability we might have seen his last in IPL. His last appearance came in IPL 2021 for Delhi Capitals.
4. Piyush Chawla: Fellow Indian leggie Piyush Chawla is the next bowler in the list with 157 wickets in 165 IPL matches. Chawla too followed the suit as Amit Mishra and played in 14 IPL seasons (2008-2021) before going unsold in IPL 2022 Mega Auctions. Chawla last played for the Mumbai Indians in the IPL. However, with age in his side, Chawla (33) can still hope for a comeback in the IPL.
5. Harbhajan Singh: Former Indian spinneer Harbhajan Singh is the 5th bowler in our list of the highest wicket taker in the IPL. Harbhajan played 14 seasons in IPL (2008-2021) before hanging up his boots from international cricket in 2021. The Turbunator goes down in history as one of the modern day legends with 150 scalps from 163 matches. His last match came in IPL 2021 where he played for the Kolkata Knight Riders.

•Kagiso Rabada is currently having the highest strike rate in IPL among the bowlers (15.0) with 75 wickets from 50 IPL matches.
•Harshal Patel holds the unique record of being the first uncapped player in the IPL history to win the Purple Cap. Harshal achieved this feat in IPL 2021 while representing Royal Challengers Bangalore.
